Today March 19th AGS is completing one of its most important stages, with the presence of the Lunds Municiplaity Business & Tourism Director, Per Persson and CEO of Ideon Innovation, Rickard Mosell, gave course to an emotional ceremony that symbolizes the end of an enriching stage. Today as a mature company with a clear and definite proposal we found ourselves ready to face new challenges.

The County Governor of Skåne, Margareta Palsson visited AGS at Ideon Science Park 2nd of December. The aim of the County Governor's visit was to get an insight in AGS activities and the work that is done with the application HandTag®. Linus Wiebe, Innovation Director at Lund University was also present during the visit. The visit included discussions like the need for services like HandTag® in the municipalities in the Skåne region.
In October, Lund University holding company decided to enter as a partner in AGS.

The CEO of AGS was invited for a VIP Round Table Discussion with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Hans Reitz, founder of the Grameen Creative Lab, Per Eriksson, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lund and some other authorities. The purpose of the round table discussion was to encourage dialogue from multiple perspectives: industry and public stakeholders, and jointly lay the basis for discussion on a regional and eventually national platform - Declaration for Social Innovation and Social Enterprise - with the focusing on suggestions and solutions that applies to Skåne and the Swedish society

AGS was invited for a speech and also for an exhibition at the European Social Business Forum in Lund in Medicon Village on May 15th. Besides the general exhibition, in which we presented HandTag®, Lund municipality continued our presentation and added their valuable experience in the usage of HandTag® for the city. Many handicapped attendees, both from school and university, participated in the conference.

Applied Geomatics Sweden (AGS) has delivered the first version of HandTag® to the municipality of Lund. The solution based on maps, offered to those with limited ability to move, either due to the use of wheelchairs, or due to suffering of any other physical disability. A new way to live your city, concerning planning of travel and facilitating access to different spots of the city. This technological tool sets its objective, resulting from the need to create a world more accessible and fair.
The application, which can be accessed via PC or mobile devices, classifies all the places in 12 different categories, so the user easily finds accessibility information for commercial premises or institutions of your choice. HandTag® encourages the participation of citizens in the continuous improvement of public infrastructure. Providing the user with the ability to report deficiencies,or obstacles concerning buildings, the public roads, by files of images, sound or video.
